Byethost still offer free hosting packages, so we had to check them out. Signup process was tricky - you will be forced to see sponsored advertisements before filling out registration form. Not a big deal, but some visitors may get tired of this. In other case, it may be worth to continue registering with ByetHost, because they provide complete feture, you’lll get 250 MB space, 6 GB bandwidth, PHP/MySQL support, subdomains and add on domains manager, FTP access, etc.
Byethost Free Hosting Package provide cPanel for all accounts - only very few free hosting providers do that. So if you are looking for free host that offers almost all the features like paid hosting companies offer, you should consider ByetHost seriously!

Bravenet Free Hosting Package is one of oldest free hosting providers in industry. It was started in early 1997 and still offers free hosting plans for everyone who need them.
Bravenet Free Hosting Package is not perfect, they only provide 50 MB web space and bandwidth 1500 MB. Also they not support for scripting languages like PHP or CGI, no ability to use databases. Only small amount of web space and many ads (banners and pop-up windows) on your site.

Blockstar Free Hosting offers free hosting package with web space 50 MB and bandwidth 1000 MB. Blockstar Free Hosting package is sponsored by banner ads and has no control panel. If you want to manage your site, you need to download special software (named as website builder) from blockstar.com to your computer and only then you can manage site, edit pages and perform other similar tasks.
Blockstar Free Hosting is not easy, we found this procedure unclear. Overall, blockstar could not be rated as good hosting provider - its rating is somewhere between poor and neutral.
